- My Niece Was Sitting on My Knee
- Watching rioting on TV
- then She looked up to me
- why are they filled with so much, Hate
- why are they willing to be killed, to do killing
- why are they burning where they Live and Work
- why are they hurting others, if they don’t want to be hurt
- why, why, why lay this burden on me
- why, I stepped back, took a look back
- into my own Living History
- inside of me, asking, answer honestly
- or use the trick of sincerity,
- but this is my Niece, sitting on my knee
- I answered with Honesty
- they are upset, because a promise wasn’t kept
- their happily ever after turned to dust
- because they deceived themselves to trust
- in things they knew weren’t real
- unless you are hungry, no Happy Meal
- unless you are for what you are fighting
- only Deprivation, has you uniting
- with people, if you were well fed,
- you’d care nothing about
- so now they can hide in a crowd
- under an umbrella of shame and shout
- their disappointments out loud
- they are despising, cause they’re realizing
- that Ego High, they welcomed, into their Head
- was phony, false, not a reason to jump in bed
- now feeling like fools
- the people, they were going to step on
- to get the jewels, they face those faces
- in each other eyes, seeing treacherous traces
- they are in those down-trodden places
- their passion en flames and their decency wilts
- they are afire with their own guilt…R.D.Revilo
