• they start a new education, school of hard knocks
• not you, you graduate, your dreams, anxiously anticipate
• accepted into the university, at a professor’s mercy
• don’t worry, party and have fun, Ball One
• One Ball, One Strike, the count
• College costs, don’t worry about the amount
• just learn gibberish, a fusillade of theory
• spewed a mile per second of note taking
• dreaming, salivating, about the money you’ll be making
• head down, mind closed, more repetition to pass a test
• you get washed out, or repeat, if not among the best
• you borrow, as a freshman, borrow as a sophomore
• borrow as a Junior, now feeling more like a whore
• can’t stop now, one more year, just one more
• then you walk with your Graduating Class
• a bad ass, you made it, to see, most again, dropout
• you, moving on up, they, back to the dugout
• the count, Ball Two, Strike One, two D’s
• a diploma and a Degree, still Dumb
• haven’t figured out the Game, until the first bill
• you’ve got a student loan to repay,
• wanted now, Today, scour for that first employment
• but its pays diploma rate, now filled with disappointment
• resentment burning, cause, now you’re really Learning
• the recount Ball Two, Strike Two, stuck
• the new pitch, it’ll be a swerve, hope or luck
• the curve, bills to defray, want any pleasure, have to pay
• for sex, friends, habitat, habits, never enough ends
• so here comes the Mr. Credit Card, Ego says,
• you deserve it, you’ve worked hard, so you pay
• with Mr. Credit Card, only a dumb-ass, uses cash
• Visa, Master Card, American Express, that’s your Money
• Material things, your blessing, now, like in college
• Ego driven, monetary theory measures your wealth
• oops, all of that partying and fast food, a new cost, Health
• but you can afford insurance, the new theory measuring your, endurance
• so, you think, day to day, check to check, I am making it through,
• your new count, Ball Three, Strike two, cause, then comes the layoff
• unemployment, job searching again, life gets rough
• you’ll get even, bored, with your Life, your wife,
• maybe time for a girlfriend, a change I wouldn’t recommend
• a mortgage, meaning debt for Life, hostile children, angry Wife
• divorce court, child support, your dreams, like your girlfriend, Left
• well you guessed, it was a full count, now Strike Three
• back to the dugout, some are more successful
• they make it to first base, continue the paper chase
• some get wise, realize the deal, Learning how to steal,
• legally, is the Real Game, back to basics, second or third, Base
• becoming corporate sycophants, politicians or using God’s Word
• but in the end you’ll see, if not born in the owner’s booth
• you’ll Learn America’s scintillating truth, she’s a fire
• consuming her youth, their aspirations, for higher
• education, higher Living, Learning, for most, it’s a Lie
• hateful, spiteful, what they perceive they can’t buy
• they want to Occupy, so much for what the Game’s about
• after all of that struggle and sacrifice, back to the dugout
• oh, yes, a few hit home runs, against odds, millions to one
• the few born at the top, Lucky, whom we envy
• the others, hit the Lottery, whom We, envy…R.D.Revilo

• no problem solving, no creativity
• no capacity to think beyond what is reverberated
• is a brain full of ideas, but constipated
• for the ultimate Lesson is Expression
• like shooting blanks with a Gun
• the know-ers just play with you
• they know you’re dumb
• today’s educational system lynches
• minds with rote, a rope hanging one with hope
• to keep you and yours a distant second
• your alka seltza, brain, fizzles, can’t even reckon
• so around and around the circle you go
• doesn’t matter, fast or slow, you can only repeat
• what you hear, that’s all you know
• no extrapolation, expanding or discovery
• before the very first move

• at my school, you graduate with a Life’s Mission
• recognizing moments of pivotal transition
• why, who, what, when, where how to change
• a sense of Honor and Duty to improve things
• for Generation Next, not just how to pass a test
• your Education would be Oral, no note taking
• Group study and verbal presentations
• Individual expressions, integrated into Team situations
• you’d know how to become a Father, Husband, Man
• a Mother, Wife, Woman, a Friend, you’d hate Reality TV
• or anything, anyone that would turn
• you into a Mindless Mummy, a Degree’d Dummy
• you would know what Life is about
• after paying all of the time and money
• there’d be no, you’ve graduated? now go figure it out
• Rigorously, for Life, exercising muscle and brain
