  1. RD Revilo – Your writing captures, challenges and makes this “birth’d American” dig deeper than my self proclaimed moderate views find comfort. My convictions run deep and my faith is who I am. To those who observe my world I am the conservative white middle class woman. A look within will reveal a soul that has known difficulty and pain and seen the beauty of achieving not defeat, but the victories that come from battles hard fought. Opportunities come easy for some, but for most are hard won. Whether our battles be race, religion, sexuality, health or where we are birthed, it is only when we bow to complacency and arrogant expectations that we loose. I think, I understand what you are saying. I can not fully comprehend the depth at which you speak, but I agree that we must not settle because life and culture and history has set before us it’s expectation. We must live and be more. Thank you for another thought provoking post!

  2. We have pictures of politicians that won through politics. Politics equals compromise. Win through compromising, the standard dictionary says they all gained through compromising civil rights. So winning through compromising civil rights makes who strong?
