  1. okay i’m not gonna lie i got a little confused with this poem… first of all are you only talking about black men because those are the pics you showed and then the mention of slavery and then segregation lead to that conclusion… and if so i don’t know what to say because well i’m not black or a man… but i do know that the roles of men and women have changed over the years to a lot of degree but my dad said that the first goal of any person is to do what they can for the family… and maybe that’s the man bringing home the bacon and the wife taking care of the kids… but sometimes things don’t work out that way… i mean that’s how it started out with my family but after my dad got health problems it was suddenly him taking care of the kids and my mom was the one working and neither of them minded because when you’re a family you do what you have to for each other and that’s really the only role you should worry about filling…

    • You are missing the point. It is not about the superficial gender roles distribution. It is about what truly makes a man – A MAN. Yes, it can include taking care of the family, but in what way? Do men these days feel their Destiny as Leaders of the path to Honour and Courage? When they say they will DO something – do they deliver? Are they the Examples of ancient wisdom and Spirit?
A man is much more than just ‘earning a living’. Would he die for you? But can he live independent of you, keeping his manhood intact?

Men have become slaves to women and other men.

        • I don’t know much about Bar Mitzvah, but every culture (in the past) had rites of passage into adulthood for boys. They TRAINED for it, the physical and moral training to prepare for life responisiblities of manhood. Sparta comes to mind…

You believe that disappearance of this is deliberately forced? Or perhaps, the ‘soft’ living comes with ‘soft’ moral obligations to self and society….

          • soft living opened the opportunity for it to be deliberately destroyed…this is pure social engineering from economic manipulation to good old fashion brainwashing via education and entertainment…peace

            • So… deliberately… You think there is a ‘Master Plan’? Whom by?

I just feel that it happens in the same way as the chaotic nature of this world… there is no plan, but it kind of ‘becomes’ one through material survival battle.
Social engineering? You scare me. I like to be scared. It allows for more understanding and growth as a result.

            • think…if want to be on top forever, which is impossible…but some are trying…what would you do and you have to do something to stay on top, permanently…for that is not natural…peace

      • well, all the men i know in the military are willing to die for their country… but just because women are now allowed to play in that role doesn’t make their sacrifice any less meaningful… and i believe the man is the head of the household but does that mean i should be a slave to him… i consider me and my husband partners… and he is definitely a man and would do anything he could to protect me… are you saying i shouldn’t do the same for him… that as a woman my job begins and ends in the kitchen… our society is evolving and i don’t think it’s bad that we’re playing on more equal field… like i said my dad was the one who took care of us kids and i don’t know anyone who would question his manhood… he was head of the household… what i’m saying is that there are no real roles for any of us except to protect the ones we love… man woman and child… by saying that a man is supposed to fill this one spot and that’s it i think is more harmful to everyone involved than to let them go out and find their own fit in the world…

        • well my culture is different, we think beyond our mere living into the future, everyone has a role to play, and everyone, regardless of gender, should be treated equally…can’t have one without the other…being in the military is definitely a stone of manhood…peace

        • We absolutely should NOT be a slave to a man. Women are the support, the love, the muse, someone who INSPIRES the man to be the best he can be. These are two equals who come together to nurture and support mutual growth. Instead…. families struggle for survival and lose that spirit of why they are a family in the first place. Yes, it’s great that you and your husband will do anything to protect each other, there are just differences in how men and women manifest it.

As for ‘die for their country’… I would prefer men to die for their principles. Would I die for my country if it stands for material enslavement and squashing the spirit of its citizens? Countries are just social formations, they do not represent the interests of the population on an individual level.

    • not meant to be confusing…just referencing the culture I was evolved from…you will find, most cultures, the role of men as you have described, but that role has been demolished for all of us, as this system tries to create a permanent upper class…we, males are the threat that can bring that down…so we are being neutralized, chemically, physically, politically, economically (et al) and our family roles rendered obsolete, all of us…peace

      • i’m sorry but i just don’t see how your roles are being rendered obsolete… a child still needs a father… a wife still needs her husband… maybe it’s just the culture i’ve grown up in… but i just don’t see how any of this is really happening in the world… unless you’re one of those men who think women should just stay at home…

        • when obsolete, I don’t mean in a cultural sense…in a functional sense…western society, is deliberately minimizing males into a feminized disposition…it’s like having two mothers, just one has a penis…but normally, nowadays, a child only has a motherly influence performing upbringing…peace

    • Also… We are talking about MEN as species here, regardless of what culture nurtured them. Culures are what divides people. Everybody bleeds, irrespective of where they come from. It is about HUMAN MALES, not black, green red, white or whatever…..

  2. Now, this is unexplainable… an hour ago I was thinking Dr O, write something about men, about the lost Warrior Spirit. And here we are…

There can be no TWO minds like this, or I am gone crazy. There is only ONE, and I think I know. Iconoclast, huh… This is what was meant by touch others on a broad public level….

What do we do? We spoke. What do we DO? You know… Publishing something EVERY DAY is beating the point. People value things more if they do not come so easy, remember? Your strategy is good, but just the thought….
You have my support, always…. Eagle.
