  1. I was one of those who bought into trying to ‘fit’ into the system, yet, I failed miserably, because something inside didn’t feel right most of my life. There was another call in me, but I didn’t know what it was. So I rebelled, was put ‘into place’, rebelled again and then realised that I have to cultivate the inner me, this is where the true power is because no one can take THAT away.
Thank you for verbalising it so poignantly, not all are given a gift like that PLUS the discernment to see things clearly. I just feel through things, hard to express.

    • you are welcome…and thanks to the technology of Blogging we were able to connect and thus, aid each other in our growth and development…it’s a Beautiful Thing…it gets easier to express as we resolve our inner conflicts…peace

  2. People are now so susceptible to indoctrination that willful ignorance has become the new intellectualism.

  3. That was a very eloquent and inspired piece of writing. My hats off to you……. I wish I could convey my thoughts and feelings in a shorter form than straight prose.

      • I blog because I can. It is my own little way of implementing free speech, because I would most certainly be arrested if I said some of the things I say in public.

            • That is true. It is not in my nature to give up. I will continue to rant, rail and rave til the day I can either no longer speak/write or I die. People are being lied to, and they are taking it with a spoonful of sugar.

            • Interesting point….. I am going to have to think on that one for a while. You are an interesting being.

            • You are an interesting being….. you actually think about things. There are not that many left in this age that do. Most are spoon-fed crap in schools, television, movies, all aspects of their lives. And the result is a non-thinking populace that does not question; that is scary to me.

            • I have always had a slight fear of what the net generation will do when they become the powers that be.

            • Do you mean that hope keeps people immobilized because they place their trust in something (an event, for example) that will probably never happen? As opposed to taking action themselves to fix the situation to the best of their ability?

            • Exactly…you have exposed the purpose of western religious principle as well as Islam…there can be a thin line between devotion and slavery…if devotion is based upon belief, solely and not knowledge and independent thinking…peace

            • We, as Nichiren Buddhists, are encouraged to study and ask questions about it precisely because with study, practice and faith comes knowledge of one’s self and others. But it is not based on faith alone. True faith usually comes later after one knows a bit more about this Buddhist sect and about yourself.

            • Exactly. We are encouraged to question the idea of faith until we see the “actual proof” that this is a philosophy that works and is workable in the context of the modern world. Out of study or knowledge and consistent practice comes faith. Otherwise, it is very much like putting the cart before the horse. You won’t get far because you have set yourself to be stagnant.

            • I agree. The community of Buddhists that I belong to is a “lay” organization. We have no priests, no monks, just ordinary people seeking their own truth and their own faith. That, I think, is what drew me to this particular sect of Buddhism. It is completely devoid of the charismatic personality that a lot of people need to experience faith in something greater than themselves. We believe in our own power to effect change both personal and as a group.

  4. You have to search for the truth on your own, because no one knows the truth anymore. People are being socialized by filtered knowledge. If you really want to know the truth, do not turn to the victors, examine the experience of the losers.

    • like an ice skater, no one just jumps on the ice and skates…you have to be trained, practiced to do that…most people may want to search for truth..but they are handicapped (educationally)…which is why they listen to others…I am one of those losers…peace

      • Anyone who has been socialized in the last few centuries is “educationally” handicapped. We do not look for explanations for the curiousities in this world anymore. We do not question. I am also one of those losers.

  5. >Mental Chess is The Game Being Played today

    >a Mind, not Developed, Disciplined Trained, en-Lightened, Educated can’t play, if all it can do is memorize repeat, be redundant, or re-done-it

    >it is defeated, blinded, with open eyes no problem solving, no creativity no capacity to think beyond what is reverberated is a brain full of ideas, but constipated for the ultimate Lesson is Expression
like shooting blanks with a Gun the know-ers just play with you they know you’re dumb

    >doesn’t matter, fast or slow, you can only repeat what you hear, that’s all you know no extrapolation, expanding or discovery before the very first move you’ve been checkmated, beyond recovery>
I question this, or am a tad baffled, Is it that you are trying to say that we have been on repeat, What about the thoughts in my mind, for the future, or possibilities, are they just replays of a continuous circle of Ideas? peace >

  6. It is not truth, it is not justice, it is humans that fear. The majority in government, that includes the schools and those that approve curriculum in private education, have been and are always on a mass campaign of making all the people need them. Effective good government does not get bigger, it gets smaller. If it gets bigger, then the majority is the needy. The needy making more needy. This can no longer be tolerated.

Sir you have a good following. You should consider writing verse, find music to go with your lyrics.

  7. Yes, we are all fed the untruths from the moment we are born, because our ‘educators’ (familiy, schools, then further jobs, government) themselves have no clue, deluded and lost in their tiny little worlds. And it is a perpetual circle with each new generation. The truth has been dead for eons.

    • Ness, you missed that point. lies are not the problem, the problem is that information is memorized rather than processed. you’re saying that if they would just give you GOOD information, you wouldn’t have to process it.

what does it mean to learn something? a puppet is a puppet whether the puppet master is the winner or loser …. school or farm …. home or government. the point of this write is to not be the puppet. to NOT go off of regurgitated information —- but rather format and work your own conclusions. education and government education works to put across as much fact as possible. it is not their job to preach.

see, it’s like RD’s saying “cars are bad!” and you’re saying “you’re right! we need to build a better car!” sometimes the whole point is that you also have feet.

      • a wonderful and correct way to connect the dots…but you are right…it’s not the quality of the dots in question…but the ability to connect so as to discern their quality…very, very good bridges or logic and reasoning…peace

      • No, this is not what I was saying at all. I was saying that we are not taught how to feel WHO WE ARE at our core, not taught how to think for ourselves, not taught how to CONNECT those into One. We are taught facts, figures, how to logically reason, how to ‘fit’ into this world, without questioning anything in it. And when a child is faced with his inner questions about the world – who is there to guide them? We are not taught to form our OWN view of the world.
